German Studies

Felicitas Rütten came to Vassar in August 2006 as the Language Fellow in the German Studies Department. A native of Germany, she has studied English and History at the Westfälische Wilhelms-Universität in Münster. At Vassar, Felicitas assists professors in their classes, holds office hours, tutors, and organizes cultural events for the German Studies Department. In addition to her work in the department, she takes courses in American history. Following her year at Vassar, Felicitas will head to Trinidad, where she will begin a graduate program in history, focusing on the Caribbean and the U.S.
